Guns and ammunition seized during anti-crime exercise

The Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice ar­rest­ed sev­er­al peo­ple for var­i­ous of­fences over the last three days dur­ing an­ti-crime ex­er­cis­es across dif­fer­ent di­vi­sions. Two firearms and am­mu­ni­tion were al­so seized by of­fi­cers. 

Ac­cord­ing to the TTPS, a Glock pis­tol loaded with two rounds of am­mu­ni­tion was found in Bras­so Seco. Mean­while, of­fi­cers of the In­ter-Agency Task Force found one pis­tol con­tain­ing 17 rounds of am­mu­ni­tion at St. Paul Street, Port of Spain.  IATF of­fi­cers al­so re­cov­ered a ve­hi­cle which was pre­vi­ous­ly re­port­ed stolen and ar­rest­ed one sus­pect in con­nec­tion with the in­ci­dent.  

In an­oth­er ex­er­cise, this time in the South­ern Di­vi­sion, of­fi­cers ar­rest­ed two men in con­nec­tion with a rob­bery. In the Cen­tral Di­vi­sion, a 36-year-old Cou­va man was ar­rest­ed by of­fi­cers of the Cen­tral Di­vi­sion Gang Unit in con­nec­tion with rob­beries in Freeport.  

And, in the South-West­ern Di­vi­sion, sev­en per­sons were ar­rest­ed for var­i­ous of­fences in­clud­ing traf­fick­ing in mar­i­jua­na, use of ob­scene lan­guage and rob­bery dur­ing an an­ti-crime ex­er­cise con­duct­ed in Siparia.
